Our History
Lawson of London originated with the curation of leather in the 1700s in England. Lawson leathers came from a long line of leather makers first originating in Cumberland England. This part of England is near the boarder of Scotland and changed hands several times as the line defining England was questioned more than once.
In the 1650 the Lawsons were merchants. The hills of Cumberland were filled with livestock and game of which they developed the trade for cured leather products selling them across the ocean and internationally as early as 1735. Lawson of London was then established in 1745. This family business has transpired and grown over the years but has never lost touch with the origin and original beauty of its leather made products.
